Bandham Community Guidelines
Bandham is designed to help adults build meaningful connections through shared interests, preferences, culture, and astrology-based compatibility. To make Bandham safe, respectful, and trustworthy, every user is expected to follow these Community Guidelines. These Guidelines apply to all activity on Bandham, including your profile, photos, messages, likes, swipes, reports, support requests, attachments, premium feature use, and any interaction with other users. By using Bandham, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. If you do not follow them, Bandham may take action against your account, including content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or termination.
Be Honest and Authentic
Bandham is built on trust. Users must represent themselves honestly and accurately. You must not create fake profiles, impersonate another person, use someone else’s identity, misrepresent your age, misrepresent your relationship intentions, use false verification details, or use someone else’s photos as if they are your own.
Your profile should reflect who you genuinely are. You may present yourself positively, but you must not deceive users about your identity, age, appearance, intentions, or availability.
If Bandham believes that a profile is fake, misleading, impersonating another person, or being used to deceive users, we may remove the content, request verification, restrict the account, suspend the account, or terminate access.
Adults Only
Bandham is strictly for users aged 18 and above.
Users under 18 are not allowed to create an account, access the platform, appear in profiles, or use Bandham in any way. Users must not help anyone under 18 create or access an account.
During onboarding, users are expected to provide their real age and date of birth. If Bandham discovers or reasonably suspects that a user is under 18, the account may be suspended and reviewed.
Child Safety and Protection from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
Bandham has a zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse and exploitation. Bandham is strictly intended for adults aged 18 and above. Children are not permitted to create an account, access the platform, appear as the account holder of a profile, or use Bandham in any way.
For the purposes of these Community Guidelines, Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation or CSAE includes any content, communication, behaviour, or activity that sexually abuses, exploits, grooms, endangers, or otherwise places a child at risk. Child Sexual Abuse Material or CSAM includes any visual or digital material depicting or facilitating the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.
Users must not use Bandham to:
- create, upload, request, send, store, share, distribute, promote, or link to CSAM
- groom, manipulate, pressure, threaten, exploit, or attempt to establish inappropriate contact with a child
- engage in sexualised communication involving a child
- encourage, arrange, promote, or facilitate the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child
- impersonate a child or falsely claim to be under 18 for abusive, exploitative, or deceptive purposes
- help a person under 18 create or access a Bandham account
- move prohibited child-related communication or activity from Bandham to another platform
- conceal, assist, encourage, or participate in conduct that places a child at risk or use Bandham for any activity connected with child abuse, grooming, exploitation, trafficking, or endangerment.
Child Safety Verification & Reporting Procedures
As an additional safety precaution, Bandham does not permit children to appear as the main subject of a user’s profile photo. Where automated safety tools, manual review, or a user report indicates that a profile photo may depict a child, or that the account holder may be under 18, Bandham may immediately hide the profile, restrict account activity, place the account under review, or temporarily suspend access while the matter is investigated.
Bandham may require the account holder to complete age or identity verification before access is restored. If the review confirms that the account holder is under 18, the account will be suspended or permanently terminated. Bandham may also prevent the individual from creating another account.
The presence of a child in a profile photo does not automatically establish that the account holder is underage. However, Bandham may remove the image, request a replacement photo, or require additional verification where necessary to protect children, maintain platform integrity, or comply with applicable child-safety obligations.
Users must immediately report any account, profile, photo, message, link, or behaviour that may involve an underage user or another child-safety concern. Reports may be submitted through Bandham’s in-app reporting tools or by contacting [email protected].
Bandham will prioritise child-safety reports. When Bandham becomes aware of suspected CSAE or CSAM, it may remove or restrict the relevant content, suspend or terminate the account, prevent the user from creating another account, preserve relevant information where legally permitted, and take any other action necessary to protect users and the platform.
Where required by applicable law or considered appropriate for child protection, Bandham may report suspected or confirmed CSAE or CSAM to the police, child-protection organisations, law-enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, or other appropriate regional or national authorities.
Any breach of this section may result in immediate and permanent account termination, with or without prior notice.
This wording supports Google Play’s requirement that dating apps prohibit CSAE, address identified CSAM, provide reporting mechanisms, and apply appropriate review and enforcement procedures.
No Hate, Discrimination, or Degrading Behaviour
Bandham welcomes users from diverse cultures, religions, communities, identities, and backgrounds. Users must not post, send, or promote hateful, discriminatory, or degrading content.
This includes content targeting or insulting people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, community background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, appearance, language, culture, immigration status, or any other protected or personal characteristic.
Bandham is designed to support Asian diaspora users and other communities in a respectful way. Users must not use cultural, religious, caste, astrology, or community-related information to shame, stereotype, insult, exclude, harass, or degrade others.
Profile Photos and Visual Content
Profile photos should be appropriate, respectful, and accurately represent the user.
You must not upload stolen photos, photos of another person pretending to be you, misleading identity images, unlawful images, hate symbols, threatening images, graphic images, private images shared without permission, or images that reveal another person’s private information.
Photos should not be used to scam, deceive, exploit, harass, or mislead other users.
Bandham may remove, reject, blur, restrict, or request replacement of images that breach these Guidelines, the Terms, safety standards, or applicable law.
No Adult, Nude, or Inappropriate Visual Content
Bandham is a dating and social discovery platform for respectful adult connections. It is not a platform for adult content, explicit visual content, or inappropriate photo sharing.
Users must not upload, display, send, request, promote, or use any adult, nude, sexually explicit, sexually suggestive, or inappropriate visual content on Bandham. This applies to profile photos, gallery photos, verification-related photos, message attachments, prompt responses, profile backgrounds, support attachments, and any other visual content submitted through the platform.
Users must not use their account, profile, photos, messages, or bio to promote adult services, explicit content platforms, paid intimate content, escorting, prostitution, trafficking, or any form of sexual exploitation.
Profile photos and other visual content must be appropriate for a dating platform and must accurately represent the user in a respectful and non-misleading way. Bandham may reject, blur, restrict, remove, or request replacement of any image that we consider inappropriate, unsafe, misleading, offensive, exploitative, unlawful, or inconsistent with these Community Guidelines.
Users must not upload or share private or intimate images of another person without that person’s clear permission. Users must also not threaten to share, pressure someone to send, or attempt to obtain private or intimate images from another user.
Any content involving or appearing to involve a person under 18 in an adult, sexual, exploitative, or inappropriate context is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.
If Bandham identifies or receives a report about adult, nude, inappropriate, exploitative, or unlawful visual content, Bandham may take action including removing the content, restricting profile visibility, disabling messaging, suspending the account, terminating the account, preventing the user from creating another account, or reporting the matter to relevant authorities where legally required or appropriate.
Bandham may use automated tools, manual review, user reports, and moderation processes to detect and manage inappropriate visual content. Users are encouraged to report any profile, photo, message, or account that appears to breach this section.
No Harassment, Threats, or Abuse
Bandham does not tolerate abusive behaviour.
Prohibited conduct includes threatening another user, sending repeated unwanted messages, pressuring someone to reply, pressuring someone to meet, mocking someone’s appearance or background, using degrading language, encouraging others to target a user, attempting to contact someone after being blocked, or creating another account to continue unwanted contact.
Behaviour that causes another user to feel unsafe, intimidated, pressured, or targeted may result in moderation action.
No Scams, Fraud, or Financial Exploitation
Bandham must not be used to scam or exploit other users.
You must not ask users for money, gifts, financial assistance, investments, payment details, bank details, crypto transactions, emergency funds, or other financial benefits.
You must not promote fake investment opportunities, romance scams, pyramid schemes, fraudulent businesses, or misleading financial claims.
You must not send suspicious payment links, request financial help under false pretences, or build romantic trust for financial exploitation.
Users should report suspicious financial behaviour immediately.
No Commercial Misuse
Bandham is for personal dating and social discovery. It must not be used as a commercial advertising platform.
You must not use Bandham to sell products, sell services, advertise businesses, recruit users to unrelated platforms, promote paid social media accounts, market events, send spam, mass-message users, promote unrelated services, scrape user data, or run unauthorised campaigns.
Accounts used primarily for commercial promotion may be restricted, suspended, or removed.
No Illegal or Harmful Activity
You must not use Bandham for unlawful, exploitative, or harmful purposes.
This includes fraud, impersonation, identity misuse, harassment, hate speech, exploitation, trafficking, blackmail, threats, unlawful sexual services, non-consensual sharing of private content, distribution of unlawful content, or encouraging others to commit unlawful acts.
Where legally required or appropriate, Bandham may report serious safety or illegal matters to relevant authorities.
Respect Privacy
You must respect the privacy of other users.
You must not share another person’s phone number, email address, home address, workplace, family details, private photos, messages, social media details, identity documents, location, or sensitive information without permission.
You must not screenshot, copy, publish, forward, or distribute another user’s profile, photos, or messages in a way that violates their privacy or safety.
You should also be careful when sharing your own personal information with other users.
Messaging Standards
Messages should be respectful, genuine, and appropriate.
You must not send spam, threats, harassment, abusive language, scam links, misleading links, repeated unwanted messages, manipulative messages, pressure to move quickly to another platform, or content intended to deceive, shame, intimidate, or exploit another user.
Bandham may review messages only where a report or safety issue is raised, or where necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or enforcement.
Reporting and Blocking
Bandham provides reporting and blocking tools to help protect users.
You should report users who harass you, threaten you, ask for money, use fake profiles, impersonate someone, send suspicious links, behave abusively, violate these Guidelines, or make you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
Blocking a user may stop or limit their ability to contact you.
Reports should be made honestly. False, malicious, or abusive reports may result in action against the reporting account.
Verification and Trust
Verification is optional but recommended.
A verified profile may help improve trust, but verification does not guarantee that a user is safe, truthful, compatible, suitable for meeting, or free from risk.
You must not submit fake verification details, use another person’s ID, use another person’s face or photos, attempt to bypass verification, or create a false verified identity.
Bandham may suspend or remove accounts that misuse verification.
Astrology and Compatibility
Bandham uses astrology traditions and compatibility features to support deeper matching. These features should be used respectfully.
You must not misuse astrology compatibility, zodiac signs, birth details, or match percentages to insult, shame, pressure, manipulate, discriminate against, or harass another user.
Astrology features are intended for discovery and compatibility support only. They should not be used to make harmful assumptions about another person or to claim guaranteed relationship outcomes.
Offline Safety
Bandham does not control what users do offline.
If you choose to meet another user, you should take sensible precautions. Consider meeting in a public place, telling someone you trust where you are going, arranging your own transport, keeping your phone charged, avoiding early disclosure of sensitive personal or financial information, and leaving if you feel uncomfortable.
If you feel unsafe or believe you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Premium Feature Misuse
Premium features must be used responsibly and respectfully.
You must not use premium features to harass more users, mass-contact users, bypass restrictions, exploit locked content, scrape profiles, manipulate matching, pressure users into responding, or engage in behaviour that breaches these Guidelines.
Premium access may be restricted, suspended, or removed if misused.
Account Integrity and Platform Security
You must not attempt to manipulate, damage, or interfere with Bandham.
You must not use bots, create fake engagement, scrape profiles, hack the platform, test security without permission, reverse engineer Bandham, exploit bugs, bypass payment systems, bypass moderation systems, bypass verification systems, or bypass suspensions or bans.
If you discover a security issue, you should report it to Bandham support rather than exploiting it.
Enforcement
If Bandham believes you have breached these Community Guidelines, we may take action depending on the seriousness, context, and risk involved.
Actions may include warning you, removing content, limiting profile visibility, restricting messages, restricting discovery, disabling premium features, suspending your account, terminating your account, preventing you from creating a new account, or reporting serious matters to authorities where legally required or appropriate.
Bandham may take action with or without prior notice depending on the seriousness of the issue.
Appeals
If you believe Bandham made a mistake when taking action against your account, you may contact support.
Bandham may review the decision at its discretion. An appeal does not guarantee that the decision will be changed.
Bandham may refuse to share full details of a moderation decision where disclosure could affect user safety, privacy, fraud prevention, platform security, legal compliance, or an ongoing investigation.
Changes to These Community Guidelines
Bandham may update these Community Guidelines from time to time.
Where changes are significant, Bandham may notify users through the app, website, email, or another reasonable method.
If you continue using Bandham after updated Community Guidelines take effect, you will be treated as accepting the updated Guidelines.
